3 Tips for a Magnetic Email Marketing Strategy

On today’s show I had the pleasure of interviewing Brianna Camacho-Sexton. Brianna is the founder, head marketing strategist and copy coach at Briànna Sexton and Company.

Tired of living pay check to pay check, Briànna turned a class project into a passion project. She combines her colorful personality and 6 years of digital media, web design, and technical writing into her practice helping female entrepreneurs create authentic relationships through value-based marketing strategies.

She is a Navy wife, rescue mom of 2 doggos,  avid book hoarder, tea-lover, french fry fanatic, and polyglot. (Eh hem, that means she can speak several languages. Who knew?!?)

As a soon to be military wife starting a new business and an upcoming opportunity to PCS, Brianna knew she needed to create a business that would travel with her wherever the Navy sent them. (She is actually married now! Woo Hoo!!)

After making that decision, Brianna allowed herself to explore several options in the online marketing industry.

Graphic design. Website design. Copywriter. Email Strategy. Email content creator. Copy coach.

Show Notes

By giving herself permission to try several things, she was able to identify the key skills that carried over between all of these options as well as experience which ones lit her up and which ones left her drained.

It is such a great feeling when you discover that area of expertise that really lights you up and gives you energy every time you get to do it!

The key takeaway from her story is to start before you are ready and see what works! Give yourself permission to fail AND to excel!

Don’t be afraid to try a few things out before you decide on the focus of your business. You will find your zone of genius and the work that makes your heart sing!

Brianna is a very talented email marketing strategist and copy coach.

I recently enlisted her help to write a series of emails for my recent webinar 5 Keys to Unlock Your Business Success.: How fear is stopping you from reaching your full potential in business.

While on the show, Brianna shared her 3 tips for email marketing and strategy:

  1. Start with the strategy not the emails. Eat the elephant and just take it one bite at a time. It takes time and can be overwhelming.
  2. When writing your emails, think about your customer’s journey. Where are they right now? Where do they want to get to? And how can you guide them there?
  3. Discover in yourself what you are actually offering and why. Serve from a place of heart.
  4. BONUS: Write your emails as if you are writing them to help out a friend.

For Brianna, letting God lead is a place of servant leadership. Be caring and responsible. Serve others.

How can you serve others?
